Hello!
My name is Laura Halfpenny aka 'The Mom on a Mission for Nutrition'.
For years I have had a passion and heart for those who are hungry and struggling both right here
in America and abroad.
Several years ago I joined up with a couple friends and we started NutritionMom Inc.
From my kitchen i created and developed a whole grain all purpose baking mix and a 7 fruit and
veggie combination dehydrated blend to mix in any baked goods to increase consumption of fruits
and veggies AND to help stop finicky eating in children.
While i was introducing my new products I was also thinking how to get to a place where I could
give my products to local and national food shelves. But it takes money.
Working mostly on a wholesale level to schools etc, it hit me that if I took my message online
someone or someone's would take note and help me accomplish this project.
But not just a one time project, i plan on making this go on for as long as possible.
With the rise of unemployment and rising costs of everything hunger is rising.
This is suppose to be the land of plenty! And the food shelves are having a hard time keeping up
with the demand. There is still plenty of food and other things to go around, but it will take
people like you and me to help.
Will you join me?
What the project is:
The goal is to give away 40,000lbs + of Versameal aka Mom's Sneaky Mix (whole
grain all natural baking mix) to local food shelves. Feeding America for example is a
main warehouse distribution for most food shelves around the country.
Versameal comes in 1 & 2lb sizes and will feed a family of five for about 26cents a
serving.
By donating a couple dollars I am also giving away my first edition E-cookbook titled
'Don't just sneak it in, teach it in!'
Both a cookbook and idea instruction book teaching how to use fruits, veggies and
whole grains in innovative ways that stretch the budget saving money and to combat
the rise in junk food addiction so children especially will eat more nutritiously.
How much needs to be raised?
We need to raise $50,000.00 which covers shipping.
